Dear FLY Nepal ,

When you think about volunteering in another country, you always expect to get fully involved in the culture of the  , meet a lot of local people and learn from this.

With fly Nepal I experienced all of those, sharing my days with nepali people and many other volunteers from all over the world, learning together and sharing different points of view.

We got to see different areas of Nepal. And not just the touristic ones and we realized that this country as beautiful as it is, will never stop surprising us.

Everyone has different and fulfilling surrounded by active and curious and the kindhearted locals.

The possibilities are endless; you can go trekking for a few days paragliding the himalayas, ride a pony in the mountains, visit all the gorgeous temples, Buddhist stupas or monasteries in the area or take a boat and spend you afternoon on the lake with few friends.

Another thing that I will always remember is the raw landscapes of Nepal, everywhere in the country is easy to find wildlife. Every time you look around you  can see mountains arising around you and the exotic plants and flowers of Nepal.

In conclusion our days in Nepal will never be forgotten and I will leave this place with a great desire to come back

Dear Fly Nepal family,

We have to say goodbye Nepal No I think it should be see you.

I have changed all my plan of summer vacation for this trip. Two months ago ,I think I would  go to Shenanigan and Qenghae lake with my bicycle team mates, on my vacation. But when I knew about fly Nepal everything has changed. it must be a thing that I need to experience, I told to myself.

After this trip I am glad to tell you it’s a correct choice. Nepal is a beautiful country with beautiful people.

"Slow" This word is all I realized we can walk ,wash and eat slowly. time gets longer than before, it cant experience in china. it's a wonderful.

Today we are leaving; Best wishes to fly Nepal and Bishal …

Organic farming volunteer program in Nepal

8/13/2014

In this organic farming volunteer program, volunteer will be working every day 3-4 hours in organic farm with collaboration with local people. Volunteer will be sharing there modern cultivation method for high and quality production of agricultural products like grains, fruits, vegetables, herbs etc. Volunteering will also help and teach them to calculate production price and find the best marketplace for product and help locals to reach those organic product to market in their worth price. Due to lack of organic farming knowledge and illiteracy, Nepalese people are using old weird technology with high consumption of chemical fertilizers and other harmful agents for high production which deteriorate environment and product quality. So we feel that we can solve their problem by recruiting volunteers related to this subject that is why we have started this volunteer program in Nepal.
For this time, we are able to run only one organic farming project in Chitwan only. Nowadays people are getting better ideas about organic product and its value, so many people are asking for us and volunteer's support to help them to initiate new organic farming projects.

Requirements:- Knowledge related to organic farming and agricultural productions.

Duration:- 2 weeks to as long as you want.

Everest basement volunteer program in Nepal

In this volunteer program, you will be doing teaching to small and teenager sherpas in different villages schools which are located at the basement of Mount Everest. This volunteer program is best for all daring volunteers who are fond of bit adventure(trekking, hiking & snowboarding) and cultural immersion with the Sherpas who are renowned as "BORN TO CLIMB EVEREST". Honestly, comparing to other volunteer programs in Nepal, this one is bit harder and you have to compromise lot of things while you will be in placements and as you know that hard work always pays off. Weather is cold and you have to live with Sherpas who are unknown with English language and culture and also far from the modern technologies. But the best good thing about them(Sherpas) are:
  • - Honest
  • - Friendly
  • - Caring
  • - Daring
Specially to their guests, they are much loyal and motivated. Most of the people in this region are doing porter or any construction/ labor work for living.

Main duties of volunteer in this program will be teaching in one of our Everest basement located school for 4-5 hours everyday for 5 days in a week and those volunteers who will be volunteering this program must be prepared to experience extremely true Nepali village culture. This  area is remote, with no electricity, computers or any sort of modern equipment for convenience (luckily there are a few phones to make both local and international calls).

In this Everest volunteer program volunteers must bring any supplies like toilet paper, shampoo, flash lights, warm clothes or any other essential things which you cant find in this remote area) and you should  always be prepare for cold weather at night, as the altitude is fairly high (2500-3000m).
Flynepal advised to all volunteers to bring water purification tablets, nice and warm sleeping bag or blankets, flashlights, any allergic medicines etc.

Duration: 2 weeks to as long as you want.

HOW VOLUNTEERING CAN HELP DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES IN NEPAL?
Many local organisations are doing valuable work in their communities, but they don't have resources to recruit international volunteers to provide them with much-needed supports. Flynepal volunteering organisation aims to serve as a link between these groups and the volunteers needed to make projects a success in order to really help the community. Flynepal volunteering organisation focuses on combining the skills of volunteers and the experience of partner local organisations to seek the best way to provide valuable services where they are needed.
