Langtang is about 151 km, and a 9-10 hour bus journey from capital city Kathmandu. The surroundings of langtang areas includes the Chinese / Tibet border, and is one of the most remote and isolated areas in Nepal. In context to facilities for travellers and volunteer, this region has very limited access to telephone, mail and internet facilities. Langtang is like a complete touristic region but unfortunately abandoned backward due to poor development policies. Basically langtang area extremely cold area so we advised to bring warm clothes, sleeping bags and insect and mosquito repelling medicines and other health accessories. People are very poor and uneducated in this region so volunteer will be doing teaching program to empower and emphasis local people to take a part in development activities and awareness activities.

1) By Bus with couple of days walking or trekking (our route)

Main duties of volunteer in this region will be teaching in one of our Everest basement located school for 4-5 hours everyday for 5 days in a week. Volunteer who will be travelling or volunteer in this region must be prepared to experience extremely true Nepali village culture of Sherpas. On other hand, Everest region is coolest place in Nepal so you must be strictly prepared for the challenge of cold weather, wind and humidity so we suggest you to bring warmest clothes, sleeping bags and heating agents so you won't get stuck with cold fever. Also this area is remote, with no electricity, computers or any sort of modern equipment for convenience (luckily there are a few phones to make both local and international calls).
