  • Can't speak English?
Well it’s not always about money, why not volunteer your time? Which is the best idea ever. Not every time money can buy happiness.

You have two benefits in this volunteer program:
  • You will be taking care of poor people as a part of hospitality and in return they will teach you how to cook traditional Nepali food and other side dishes.(You will learn to cook Nepali food)
  • You will cook your dishes and Nepali dishes (once you learned), which means you are paying them you time and skill which is much more valuable and worth than money.

Requirement: Basic cooking and hospitality knowledge

Duration: 1 week to as long as you want

Initial date: Any day you want because all our volunteer programs and activities runs throughout the year.

Langtang region is basically well known for the Himal Mountain scenarios , and is one of the most popular trekking destination in Nepal. Langtang is about 151 km, and a 9-10 hour bus journey from capital city Kathmandu. The surroundings of langtang areas includes the Chinese / Tibet border, and is one of the most remote and isolated areas in Nepal. In context to facilities for travellers and volunteer, this region has very limited access to telephone, mail and internet facilities. Langtang is like a complete touristic region but unfortunately abandoned backward due to poor development policies. Basically langtang area extremely cold area so we advised to bring warm clothes, sleeping bags and insect and mosquito repelling medicines and other health accessories. People are very poor and uneducated in this region so volunteer will be doing teaching program to empower and emphasis local people to take a part in development activities and awareness activities.

Volunteer programs available in this place are

  • Visit to Tibet.

Everest Region
The prime attraction – the 8,848 m peak of Mt. Everest – lies in Sagarmatha National Park, which is also home to two other eight thousanders – Lhotse and Cho Oyu peaks– besides there are several other prominent peaks which are above 6,000 m. The another name of Everest region is  Khumbu which includes the Sagarmatha National Park which is located at the highest altitude with wide varieties for wildlife, birds, flora and inhabitants. This region is one the popular tourist destination in Nepal. Thousands of people travel to this place for exploring Mount Everest from closer and various activities including hiking, trekking, skating and sightseeing. This place is renowned for several mountain peaks and the loyalty and friendliness of its inhabitants of Sherpas. This place is about 140 km far from the capital city Kathmandu.

You can reach Everest region in two ways
1) By Bus with couple of days walking or trekking (our route)
2) By Flight which is bit risky and expensive

Main duties of volunteer in this region will be teaching in one of our Everest basement located school for 4-5 hours everyday for 5 days in a week. Volunteer who will be travelling or volunteer in this region must be prepared to experience extremely true Nepali village culture of Sherpas. On other hand, Everest region is coolest place in Nepal so you must be strictly prepared for the challenge of cold weather, wind and humidity so  we suggest you to bring warmest clothes, sleeping bags and heating agents so you won't get stuck with cold fever. Also this area is remote, with no electricity, computers or any sort of modern equipment for convenience (luckily there are a few phones to make both local and international calls).

Organic farming volunteer program in Nepal

8/13/2014

In this organic farming volunteer program, volunteer will be working every day 3-4 hours in organic farm with collaboration with local people. Volunteer will be sharing there modern cultivation method for high and quality production of agricultural products like grains, fruits, vegetables, herbs etc. Volunteering will also help and teach them to calculate production price and find the best marketplace for product and help locals to reach those organic product to market in their worth price. Due to lack of organic farming knowledge and illiteracy, Nepalese people are using old weird technology with high consumption of chemical fertilizers and other harmful agents for high production which deteriorate environment and product quality. So we feel that we can solve their problem by recruiting volunteers related to this subject that is why we have started this volunteer program in Nepal.
For this time, we are able to run only one organic farming project in Chitwan only. Nowadays people are getting better ideas about organic product and its value, so many people are asking for us and volunteer's support to help them to initiate new organic farming projects.

Requirements:- Knowledge related to organic farming and agricultural productions.

Duration:- 2 weeks to as long as you want.

Everest basement volunteer program in Nepal

8/13/2014

In this volunteer program, you will be doing teaching to small and teenager sherpas in different villages schools which are located at the basement of Mount Everest. This volunteer program is best for all daring volunteers who are fond of bit adventure(trekking, hiking & snowboarding) and cultural immersion with the Sherpas who are renowned as "BORN TO CLIMB EVEREST". Honestly, comparing to other volunteer programs in Nepal, this one is bit harder and you have to compromise lot of things while you will be in placements and as you know that hard work always pays off. Weather is cold and you have to live with Sherpas who are unknown with English language and culture and also far from the modern technologies. But the best good thing about them(Sherpas) are:
  • - Honest
  • - Friendly
  • - Caring
  • - Daring
Specially to their guests, they are much loyal and motivated. Most of the people in this region are doing porter or any construction/ labor work for living.

Main duties of volunteer in this program will be teaching in one of our Everest basement located school for 4-5 hours everyday for 5 days in a week and those volunteers who will be volunteering this program must be prepared to experience extremely true Nepali village culture. This  area is remote, with no electricity, computers or any sort of modern equipment for convenience (luckily there are a few phones to make both local and international calls).

In this Everest volunteer program volunteers must bring any supplies like toilet paper, shampoo, flash lights, warm clothes or any other essential things which you cant find in this remote area) and you should  always be prepare for cold weather at night, as the altitude is fairly high (2500-3000m).
Flynepal advised to all volunteers to bring water purification tablets, nice and warm sleeping bag or blankets, flashlights, any allergic medicines etc.

Duration: 2 weeks to as long as you want.
